Scholarships & Financial Aids
Financial aid is available in the form of loans, scholarships, state and grant-funded assitantships and hourly employment. Assitantships are awarded on a competitive basis. To be considered for this funding, mark the appropriate boxes on your Graduate Application.
The School of Food Science and the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) award more than $500,000 in scholarships to qualified undergraduate and graduate students.
Part-time employment is available at Washington State University in departmental laboratories, in the WSU Creamery, and in areas outside the School of Food Science.
Summer and semester work experience in the industry throughout the Pacific Northwest can be academically and financially rewarding.
WSU Creamery/Food Science Undergraduate Scholarship
This Scholarship was created by setting aside a portion of all cheese and ice cream sales from the WSU Creamery for the purpose of supporting undergraduate students majoring in food science at Washington State University. The scholarship was established in 2008. Scholarship awards will be determined with the interest rate paid on the endowment (current scholarship is $1,500 per year).This scholarship has already been awarded for the 2009-10 school year.
